It’s funny how in one short second your life can go from perfectly normal to completely messed up. One moment Danny Fenton was casually walking home from a movie with Valarie, and the next he was being hulled into a dark alley by an invisible hand and then pressed up against a brick wall. White gloved fingers covered his mouth, muffling Danny’s protests, and the human resorted to glaring at the ghost instead.
He strained against Phantom’s hold, but the phantom’s superhuman strength made his grip harder to break than iron chains. Outside the alley, Valarie had no doubt noticed Danny’s sudden disappearance. Danny heard her calling out for him, but he wasn’t exactly in a position to respond. He only hoped he could think up a good excuse once he found out what Phantom was trying to do.
